Reduced Operations Jan. 30 – Feb. 2, 2026: Dining Hours of Operation
Dining locations will observe the following hours and procedures from January 30 – February 2:
Friday, January 30, 2026
Lakeside Dining Commons on the Statesboro Campus will be open for regular hours of operation, until 3:00 p.m.
The Dining Commons on the Statesboro Campus, The Galley Dining Commons on the Armstrong Campus, and the Richard L. Brown Dining Hall on the Swainsboro Campus will be open until 7:00 p.m.
Inclement weather pick-up will start at 3:00 p.m. at Dining Commons (Statesboro), The Galley (Savannah), and Richard L. Brown Dining Hall (Swainsboro). Any student with a dining plan may get an additional to-go meal, as well as non-perishable grab-and-go items for Saturday and Sunday. As a precautionary measure, students with dining plans may also pick up breakfast for Monday today until 7:00 p.m.
Normal entry to the facilities will still be available until they close at 7:00 p.m.

Conditions permitting, the Dining Commons on the Statesboro Campus, The Galley Dining Commons on the Armstrong Campus, and the Richard L. Brown Dining Hall on the Swainsboro Campus will open at Noon and remain open until 7:00 p.m. Some dining options may be limited.
New Micro Market Opens in Education Building on Statesboro Campus

Eagle Dining Services is excited to announce the opening of a new Micro Market in the Education Building on the Statesboro Campus called the “GUS Mini Mart”. Designed with convenience in mind and in partnership with Coca-Cola United Bottling Company, this self-service market brings a fresh selection of snacks, beverages, and grab-and-go meals right to the heart of southern side of campus, making it easier than ever for students, faculty, and staff to refuel between classes or meetings.
The Micro Market is fully self-checkout and open during building hours, offering an easy, contactless shopping experience. Shoppers can pay using debit, credit, Dining Dollars, and EagleXpress—no cash is accepted. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite, a refreshing drink, or something more substantial to get you through the day, the GUS Mini Mart is stocked to meet your needs.
This new location joins our growing list of on-campus retail options focused on accessibility, speed, and flexibility. It’s just one more way Eagle Dining Services is working to enhance the campus experience through modern, student-centered solutions.

Meet Allen Stovall: New General Manager at Dining Commons

Eagle Dining Services is proud to announce that George “Allen” Stovall has been named the new General Manager of Dining Commons on the Statesboro Campus!
Allen has been an integral part of the Eagle Dining team since 2018. With a strong background in both dining and retail management, Allen brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a student-first mindset to the role. His career has included managing multiple departments at Walmart and working in regional leadership for Liberty National Life Insurance Company. Across every role, Allen has prioritized team development, operational excellence, and quality service.
A familiar face around campus, Allen currently serves on Georgia Southern’s Staff Council and the Staff Grievance/Appeal Committee. His dedication to the University community and passion for elevating the student experience make him a great fit to lead one of our largest and most dynamic dining facilities.
We’re thrilled to have Allen step into this leadership position and look forward to the continued excellence he will bring to Dining Commons. Be sure to say hello and welcome him next time you stop by!
