To join True Blue Recovery at the Center for Addiction Recovery (CAR), you must first gain admission to Georgia Southern University.

Part One: University Admission

Georgia Southern University

• The Center for Addiction Recovery cannot grant admission exceptions. You must meet Georgia Southern University’s minimum academic requirements for undergraduate or graduate programs.
• CAR staff can assist students with past legal issues related to addiction, provided they meet at least the minimum academic standards.
• Please see the Georgia Southern University Admissions website for detailed information on the process for various admission types (transfer, freshman, graduate, etc.).
• For specific admission questions not answered online, email cfar@georgiasouthern.edu, and we can connect you to admissions staff who help our students through the admission process.

Part Two: Admission to True Blue Recovery 

Contact True Blue Recovery to inform staff of your intention to apply to Georgia Southern University to join the program. Before applying, make sure you meet the  minimum requirements.

Minimum Requirements for Admission to True Blue Recovery 

• Admission to Georgia Southern University.
• A desire to advance or maintain your recovery from Substance Use Disorder through effective recovery pathways and a commitment to maintaining the recovery lifestyle.

Academic Expectations

CAR students must maintain a minimum institutional GPA of 2.5.
