Global Honors in Wexford
For Freshman Honors students, this 24-person program offers a trio of linked experiential courses in geography, history, and English built around the themes of agricultural sustainability and nationalism. The first half of the course takes place on the Statesboro campus while the second half takes place in Wexford, Ireland. Students learn about the tensions inherent in balancing climate goals with cultural and market realities and conduct field research in a variety of fascinating settings.

Medical treatment in Ireland through a hospital emergency department costs no more than €100 per visit, even if that visit results in hospitalization for one or more nights. In that unlikely event the program pays the €100 cost.
In most cases, a program graduate assistant or faculty member accompanies the student to the emergency department, although the student is legally obliged to check themselves in at reception (assuming they are able to do so).
