Wexford is a 1200-year-old town on the southern coast of Ireland with a unique connection to Savannah, Georgia dating to the 1850’s. From its incredible hospitality to its sunny Irish landscape, Wexford provides Georgia Southern students with a study abroad experience like no other.

We could not have asked for better leaders. They poured knowledge into us! I am grateful for this eye-opening, mind-altering, unforgettable experience. I look forward to returning to Ireland again soon!

Upcoming Programs

We offer multiple opportunities to study in Wexford and dive deep into various subjects.

For Freshman Honors students, this limited program offers a trio of linked courses in geography, history, and English—all connected by themes of agricultural sustainability and nationalism. Before spring break students meet in-person on the Statesboro campus then fly to Wexford to complete the course.

Spend a life-changing month from May 19 to June 20 studying in Ireland and earn six credit hours from a selection of courses. Experience first-a broad range of topics from Viking influence to local industry.

Classrooms

The Learning Center at Wexford, built in 1812, welcomes Georgia Southern students via a picturesque castle gatehouse. Inside are well-equipped, boldly decorated classrooms featuring beautiful stained-glass pieces and other antique elements that create a truly unique learning environment.

Campus Housing

Georgia Southern students at Wexford spend the majority of their time at the Talbot Suites at Stonebridge, a modern complex of fully equipped, self-catering apartments situated on Paul Quay by the harbor in Wexford Town.
