The Georgia Southern Learning Center
Since 2022 when the first cohort of Georgia Southern students travelled to our Wexford Campus, the Learning center has been the site of countless indelible memories for our students abroad.
The building, constructed in 1812, features both striking classrooms with stained-glass windows and modern amenities. As the oldest building in Georgia Southern’s real-estate portfolio, the Learning Center provides students with a picturesque and inspiring place to learn and grow amid Irish culture and hospitality.
Around the Campus
From the striking Learning Center Gatehouse to the numerous restaurants and local landmarks, the Wexford Campus is sure to make a lasting impression.
A castle-style gatehouse welcomes students to the Learning Center before they enter the main building— known by locals as the Old County Hall given that it once housed Wexford County Council’s headquarters. The building’s main room, a former courtroom, is now used for lectures, performances, and other gatherings.
Kafé Konnect sits within the Learning Center grounds and serves the biggest Irish breakfast in Wexford Town, along with numerous dishes featuring locally sourced meat and produce.
Our students at Wexford will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of our next ambitious project on the European Campus—a former convent being carefully remodelled into a 50-bedroom residential center. Constructed in 1886, the building is an inspiring place and has provided a hands-on opportunity for Georgia Southern construction and design majors to apply their skills.
