“Growing Citrus & Olives”
Tuesday, March 17 | Noon-1PM: Think citrus and olives only belong in Florida and California? Not anymore. Join Steve Cooler of Satsumas of Savannah and Tracy Poling of Woodpecker Trail Olive Farm to learn how they’re successfully growing Mediterranean crops right here in coastal Georgia. We’ll cover variety selection for our climate, high-density planting strategies, cold protection techniques, and honest talk about what works in the Southeastern Coastal Plain. Whether you’re curious about starting your own grove or just want to understand what’s possible in our region, these two local producers will share real-world insights from their orchards.
Registration: $25 General Admission (includes program, lunch, and refreshments) or $20 for Garden Members.
