Guided Tours
Interested in taking your visit to another level? Sign up for a guided tour and you will get closer than ever to snakes, alligators, turtles and more. Guided tours are designed to last one hour and are great for small groups.
Price: $10.00 per person with a minimum of ten people for each tour. Groups less than ten must pay minimum price of $100.00.
- Recommended for groups of 25 or less.
- Guided Tours are only available during weekdays. *Must register one week in advance.

The Wildlife Center will only be offering our *Wild About Wildlife program for school groups during the 2024-2025 school year as we work to enhance the Wildlife Center experience.
Before registering please check the field trip calendar below for available dates. Unavailable dates are indicated by the word “busy”.
If registering for multiple days, separate forms must be filled out for each trip.

- Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th Grade and College
- Up to 120 students (20 mix – 20 max)
- You may bring fewer than 20, but will be charged for a minimum of 20
- Cost: $5.00 per attendee
- This includes teachers, parents and chaperones. Bus drivers are not charged.
The Wild About Wildlife field trip consists of a 30-minute wildlife presentation and a 30-minute raptor flight show. This program may be presented in our Amphitheater or Lecture Hall, depending on your group size and weather conditions. This program is designed for ages K-12, college, individual groups, organizations, and clubs. You may also choose an educational topic to be covered during your presentation. Topics include: Food Chain, Habitats, Classification, Life Cycle, Basic Needs of Wildlife, Animal Adaptations, Grouping Animals, and Pets vs. Wild Animals. This program is not offered in June, July, and August.

The Wildlife Connection- Past, Present & Future is strictly for adults and is presented by Steve Hein, the Wildlife Center’s founder and Director. For more in depth information please click on the links below.

Students are welcome to visit our gift shop, Freedom’s General Store. If you would like to have your students visit the giftshop, plan on allowing them to do so after the program has ended.

Outreach
Add something WILD to your next event!
The Wildlife Center offers interactive programs that include a selection of birds of prey, reptiles, amphibians and fun creepy crawlers! Classroom, assembly and festival booth programs are available, tailored to the age and interests of the audience. Wildlife Center outreach programs also add a unique and memorable component to professional conferences and corporate meetings.
Flight show programs can be presented in auditoriums, theaters, ballrooms, restaurants, at stadiums and on golf courses. These programs make great ice breakers for social gatherings, business meetings and fund raising events.

Experience the thrill of seeing, touching, and listening to interesting facts about snakes and other reptiles. Observe the reptile experts as they handle both native and exotic reptiles. Participate in a hands-on reptile encounter! You can also witness various creepy crawlers, such as giant hissing cockroaches. Program lasts approximately one hour.
- Program Fee: $1000 (available year round)
- Travel: $75 per hour of round trip travel.
Be wowed by the action of a raptor flight demonstration. Experienced falconers fly several species of birds of prey, and explain the various adaptations that make this group of birds so intriguing. As birds swoop over your heads, there is much to learn from this delightful program! Program lasts approximately one hour.

Enjoy a combination of the Raptor Program and the Reptile Program. Take pleasure in the experience of a lifetime as you experience various reptiles, creepy crawlers, and birds of prey! Program lasts approximately one hour.

taff from the Center for Wildlife Education will bring a menagerie of animals, artifacts and hands-on activities to your event to display in a booth-type setup. These animals include snakes, creepy crawlers, various species of birds and lots of fascinating artifacts. Employees are available to answer questions and to assist visitors in touching the snakes and creepy crawlers! No formal program is presented, however the “booth” is open to the public throughout the specified time. This setup is great for festivals, fairs, and Math/Science Night events.
- Booth Fee: $250 per hour (minimum two hours)
- Travel Fee: $75 per hour of roundtrip travel
Staff from the Center for Wildlife Education will travel to your school, classroom, or event to conduct an interactive, one-of-a-kind, wildlife presentation. This one hour presentation features a menagerie of animals including birds of prey, reptiles, fun creepy crawlers and more. This is a great opportunity to bring environmental education to your classroom and school. All programs are designed to meet Georgia Performance Standards and can be tailored to any age group. This program can be presented to individual classrooms, in an assembly settings for multiple classes, or during events outside of the classroom.
