CEMITURE (CollaborativE Multidisciplinary Investigations Through Undergraduate Research Experiences) and I-CEMITURE offer transformative 10-week research experiences designed to expand your scientific expertise and professional network. These NSF-funded programs provide hands-on research in biochemistry, chemistry, and physics, led by experienced faculty mentors.

Research Locations

The CEMITURE (USA) program at Georgia Southern University and I-CEMITURE (France) program at the University of Lorraine in Épinal, France offer immersive, NSF-supported research experiences. These programs provide undergraduate and graduate students with hands-on opportunities to conduct cutting-edge scientific research, collaborate with expert faculty, and engage in professional development activities. Participants gain invaluable research skills while working in state-of-the-art laboratories, developing scientific communication expertise, and preparing for future careers in STEM fields.

A Total of 12 Scholars Will Be Selected

  • CEMITURE: 8 undergraduate students (U.S. research)
  • I-CEMITURE: 4 scholars (2 graduate students & 2 undergraduates) (France research)

  • American Chemical Society (ACS) & Southeastern Regional Meeting of the ACS (SERMACS)

Many of our alumni pursue graduate programs, internships, and multi-year fellowships following their CEMITURE experience.
