The Graduate Certificate in Business consists of five courses selected from our MBA program offerings and is geared towards students who wish to pursue a highly customizable graduate certificate or working professionals who wish to pursue a degree while continuing their career.
The program is offered both in-person and online, meaning that students can either take advantage of a highly flexible and accommodating schedule or reap the benefits of an on-campus experience.

What You’ll Learn
Students in the Graduate Certificate in Business program will select five courses from our MBA course offerings. These courses cover a wide range of business topics—from strategy, analysis, and leadership to law, ethics and finance. A sampling of courses include:

Admission Requirements:
Admission into the Graduate Certificate in Business program is competitive.
- Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution (official transcripts from all credit-granting institutions attended must be submitted).
- Applicants must submit a resume detailing both work experience and education.
- Applicants must submit an essay describing their potential for success in the program.
- Applicants who do not hold a degree from a program or university where English is the official language of instruction must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.
- Applicants must submit a completed application form.
Additional consideration is given to the following applicants:
- Applicants with two or more years of meaningful work experience
- Applicants who possess an undergraduate business degree from an AACSB-accredited institution
- Applicants with service in any military branch, reserve unit, or National Guard (active, retired, or prior service; Form DD 214 #4 required)
Follow these steps to complete the Georgia Southern application:
- Create an application account.
- Complete our online application using the PIN you received after creating your application account.
- Pay the $50 application fee or upload a valid fee waiver once complete. Previous Georgia Southern applicants and dual-enrollment students do not need to pay the fee.
