The Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus University Chorale and Vocal Chamber will perform in honor of J. Harry Persse, Ph.D., at the J. Harry Persse Memorial Concert on Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The concert is held annually to celebrate the legacy of J. Harry Persse, Ph.D., who was a musician, composer and educator at Armstrong State College in Savannah from 1965 to 1988.
On Tuesday, Nov. 13, Georgia Southern University College of Education will host a free screening of “Paper Tigers,” an award-winning documentary that follows a year in the life of six students in an alternative high school. The screening, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 6 p.m. in University Hall, room 156, on the Armstrong Campus.
Georgia Southern University is sponsoring Ramsey Solutions’ Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum in five high schools in Georgia. Foundations in Personal Finance is the premier curriculum for teaching financial literacy to students.
