U.S. Department of Commerce invests $2 million to expand business incubator in Statesboro Opportunity Zone
U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration is awarding a $2 million grant to the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority so Georgia Southern University can continue boosting business growth and resiliency efforts by expanding the City Center Business Incubator in downtown Statesboro.

Georgia Southern University now comprises 10 academic colleges with the transition of the University Honors Program to the Honors College. The move provides a growing community of honors students with enhanced experiential learning opportunities including undergraduate research, creative scholarship and the honors thesis, focusing on professional development, interdisciplinary education and global experiences.
