Dining Plans & Packages

Eagle Dining Services offers a variety of options for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy a great dining experience on Georgia Southern University’s campuses. Dining Plans are available to all undergraduate and graduate students. Our dining halls are located on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses of Georgia Southern.

Access Plans

Ideal for: First-year students.

Access Plans give you all access to our residential dining facilities on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses. They are the most versatile and all-encompassing dining plans you can have, and they’re great for a new student.

Block Plans

Ideal for: Commuters, Non-Traditional and Graduate Students

Block Plans give diners access to the residential dining facilities on a per-visit basis, and are great for commuters, non-traditional or graduate students to get a quick meal in the dining hall between studies.

Weekly Plans

Ideal for: Upperclassmen or Returning Students

Weekly Plans give you access to our residential dining facilities per week, allowing you to go as you please and giving you consistent access throughout the times you’re on campus.

What Kind of Plan Do I Need?

First-Year Students

As a first-year student living in on-campus housing you must have, at a minimum, the Access+ Dining Plan with 100 Dining Dollars.

Upperclassmen Students

Upperclassmen may purchase any of our dining plans. This includes the Access+ dining plans, Block plans and Weekly plans. You may also purchase EagleXpress Packages from Eagle Card Services if you like.

Graduate Students

Graduate students may purchase any of our dining plans. Block and Weekly dining plans are great for the “student on-the-go” and can come in handy when you want to grab a quick meal with friends in the dining hall.

Faculty & Staff Dining Plans

Faculty and staff of Georgia Southern may purchase Block plans of 10, 25, or 50 meals for use in our residential dining facilities (Dining Commons, Lakeside, The Galley).

Note: Dining plan users may change or drop their plan by 5 p.m. the first day of class if they have not used their plan. After the first day of class, until 5 p.m. on the 9th day of class, there will be a $50.00 fee to drop or change a plan if it has not been used. If any portion of a Dining Plan has been used, there will be a $50.00 fee, plus a pro-ration for the week. No changes or drops will be made after the 9th day of class per semester.

Access+ Dining Plan

With your Access+ Dining Plan, you get all access to our residential dining facilities on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses. Enjoy great food and community at Dining Commons, Lakeside and The Galley, guest passes to treat your friends and family to a meal, and the ability to take a to-go meal out of the residential dining facilities. There is no limit to how many times you can enter the residential dining halls. It’s like having a “key” to those facilities throughout the semester.

You may also add Dining Dollars to your Access+ Dining Plan. Dining Dollars are available in several increments that a dining plan holder can choose from.

Block Plans

Block Plans give diners access to the residential dining facilities on a per-visit basis. Block Plans do not expire, so students can use those as long as they have them on their account.

Weekly Dining Plans

Weekly Dining Plans allow a student a certain number of meals in our residential dining facilities per week. A student can use up to one (1) or two (2) meals per day (depending on your plan) to enjoy food with their friends, and up to the plan amount per week. These reset every Monday of the week during the semester and end at the end of the semester.

Faculty/Staff Dining Plans

Eating a nutritious and delicious meal is key to having a productive and engaging day while working for Georgia Southern University. There’s no more convenient place to eat, build community and engage students than the dining halls on Georgia Southern’s many campuses. Below, you’ll find information on Faculty/Staff dining plan options, and how you can enroll in this easy way to enjoy dining while you’re on campus.

Faculty/Staff dining plans are designed to help part-time and full-time professionals on campus to eat with ease of service. Each plan offers the faculty/staff member the opportunity to visit Dining Commons, Lakeside or The Galley, with blocks of meals that do not expire.

Plans are set in blocks of 10, 25, and 50. The Block 10 plan is available for purchase via cash, credit card, debit card, or check (with valid Eagle Card present). The Block 25 or 50 plans are available to purchase for cash, credit card, debit card, or check (with valid Eagle Card present) and they can be purchased through payroll deduction.

Can anyone buy a Faculty/Staff Dining Plan?
Any active faculty or staff member of Georgia Southern may purchase a dining plan. Temporary and student employees are not eligible for the Faculty/Staff Dining Plan.

How do I sign up?

Faculty/staff members may print a form from our website if they’re doing payroll deduction. They may also pay with cash, credit card, debit card, or check (with valid Eagle Card present) at any Eagle Card Center. 

When can I sign up for a Faculty/Staff dining plan?

You may sign up at any time for a faculty/staff dining plan. Fill out the form located on our website, print and drop off at the front desk of any Eagle Card Center or the Eagle Dining Services Central Office (Statesboro Campus Only). You may also find forms you can fill out at either Eagle Card Center.

Do these dining plans expire?

No. Once purchased, swipes into the dining halls from these plans will be available to you as long as you are employed by Georgia Southern University. 

Is there a limit to how many swipes you can use in a day?

There is no limit to how many swipes you can use in one day. If you bring a friend, you can use two swipes for entry, and so on. Please check your balance online to know how many you have left, and if you need to reload you may always stop by an Eagle Card Center.

Where can I view my dining plan and my remaining balance of swipes?

What do I need to have in order to use my dining plan?

An active Eagle Card is necessary to use the faculty/staff dining plan in any dining hall location.

EagleXpress

EagleXpress allows students to make dollar-for-dollar purchases similar to a declining debit card at EDS dining locations and 60+ vendors in the Statesboro area. These are available at the beginning of each semester (Fall, Spring, Summer).
