The CRI Facility for campus recreation and intramurals for Georgia Southern.

Campus Recreation and Intramurals partners with departments within Georgia Southern and external organizations to make their events successful. Find the best destination for your team with CRI.

The CRI Facility Management Team gives priority to reservation requests from the following populations in this given order:

  1. CRI Departmental Programs and Events
  2. SAEM Programs and Events
  3. Student Organizations (recognized by the Office of Student Activities)
  4. Groups affiliated with Georgia Southern University
  5. Groups not affiliated with Georgia Southern University

Our Reservable Spaces

The RAC Seminar Room

The RAC’s seminar room can fit either 56 chairs at tables or 100 chairs without tables. This large, second-story meeting space features a computer with two projectors, an overhead projector for documents, a laptop connection, a lapel/wireless microphone, a dry erase board and a sink.

The RAC Wet Classroom

The wet classroom directly connected to the Aquatics Center can fit either 24 chairs at tables or 40 chairs without tables. This unique space features a computer with a projector, an overhead projector for documents, a laptop connection, a lapel microphone and a dry erase board.

Anderson Pavilion Conference Room

Bring your team to the nostalgic pavilion conference room at M.C. Anderson Park with direct access to the park’s pavilion and activities. This space includes seating options with and without tables, a dry erase board, a TV and a VCR/CD player.

M.C. Anderson Park Pavilion

Host your event at M.C. Anderson Park’s charming pavilion. This space features 19 picnic tables, ceiling fans and lights, a sound system with wireless microphone, CD player and aux connection, three barbecue grills, and a robust kitchen with a deep sink, refrigerator, ice machine, food preparation space and a serving window.

M.C. Anderson Park Bandshell

Set the stage at the iconic Bandshell at M.C. Anderson Park. This outdoor amphitheater, complete with lighting, has served as a venue for popular musicians and other large events.

Sand Volleyball Courts

Bring the beach back to the ‘Boro with two sand volleyball courts at M.C. Anderson Park, complemented with outdoor lighting.

The Multiplex Fields

Bring your game or event to the North Field at the M.C. Anderson Park Multiplex with four softball fields surrounded by a public fitness trail.

The RAC MAC Gym

Make a show of your event at the Recreation Activity Center’s private MAC Gym. These two professional-grade basketball courts feature four player benches, two electronic scoreboards and a sound system with two wireless/lapel microphones, a CD player, an AUX connection and a large projector and screen.

The RAC 2-Court Gym

Host your event in the heart of the Recreation Activity Center across two professional-grade basketball courts with four player benches, two electronic scoreboards and a sound system with two wireless/lapel microphones, a CD player and an AUX connection.

The RAC Multipurpose Room

Put on your next event at the RAC’s Multipurpose Room. This large space features a sound system with both an AUX connection and a CD player, mirrors and a view over one of the ponds within M.C. Anderson Park.

The RAC Dance Studio

Make your next event a blast at the RAC’s Dance Studio. This large space features a sound system with both an AUX connection and a CD player, mirrors and a ballet bar.

Event Classifications

Our Facility Management Team will classify each event into one of these four tiers. Please read these classifications before you submit your request so we can accommodate your group and provide a quality experience.

Tier 1

Tier 1 is for a meeting for an organization or group in one of our existing meeting spaces with no special setup and minimal A/V needs. Requests should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event.

Tier 2

Tier 2 is for larger events with 100 or fewer attendees which may require minimal equipment setup and no additional special event staff. Requests should be submitted at least three weeks prior to the event.

Tier 3

Tier 3 is for larger events (100 minimum to 500 maximum attendants) which require meetings with the Facility Coordinator and/or the Graduate Assistant for Special Events. These events involve significant setup, additional staffing and special equipment needs. Requests should be submitted at least one month prior to the event.

Tier 4

Tier 5 is for events that either have more than 500 attendees, involve multiple spaces at the RAC or M.C. Anderson Park or for events that impact CRI’s daily programs and operations. These events require planning meetings with CRI’s professional staff and coordination with external groups. Requests should be submitted at least two months prior to the event.
