Yes! Access to weekly Group Fit classes are included with your CRI membership.
You can reserve your spot for a session on the IMLeagues app or website. Registration usually opens seven days in advance.
If you sign up for a class and are unable to attend, please unregister on IMLeagues so someone else can take a spot!
Sure! Group Fit classes cater to all experience levels, and your instructor may present modifications throughout the class to make things easier for you.
We recommend arriving about 10 minutes prior to the beginning of most sessions.
We recommend that you bring a reusable water bottle to any session you join. Reusable water bottles and personal towels are required for spin classes. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or pilates mat as well. Personal free weights are not allowed in Group Fit classes.
You can wear Vibrams to any class except for spin classes. Pilates and yoga classes are done without shoes. Otherwise, we recommend sturdy athletic shoes. Shoes are required to enter the ARC.
Yes! Job postings for Group Fit instructors are generally posted along with other CRI jobs each semester. In addition to an interview, the application process usually includes a tryout and the completion of a relevant certification. Common certifications for instructors include: AFAA Primary Group Fitness, ACE Group Fitness, Zumba, Beachbody LIVE, Pound™, Schwinn, Maddog Cycle, Les Mills, YogaFit, SCW Yoga Fundamentals I, Pilates Coach, PEAK Pilates and SPIN.
