CRI Memberships

Eagles can enjoy the best of Campus Recreation and Intramurals at Georgia Southern with a CRI Membership. A CRI membership gives you access to the Recreation Activity Center in Statesboro and the Armstrong Recreation Center in Savannah.

CRI Guest Pass

Bring a friend or relative on your next visit to the RAC in Statesboro or the ARC in Savannah. University departments sponsoring guests on campus to attend a workshop, conference, camp or other sponsored event may request guest access. Visitors will need to pay for a guest pass upon entry.

Renew Your Membership

Fill out the Membership Renewal Form to continue your CRI Membership. Fill it out online or visit Member Services.

Sign Your CRI Waiver

The CRI liability waiver allows you to participate in CRI programs and utilize resources available at the RAC in Statesboro and the ARC in Savannah. A signed waiver is required to use your CRI Membership and access the RAC and the ARC.

Membership Types

Current members may download the Membership Renewal form. New members, please visit the RAC Member Services desk to join today. The Member Services desk is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

All students at Georgia Southern enrolled in one or more on-campus hours are given CRI Memberships through payment of their mandatory student fees. Students that do not meet the enrollment or housing criteria for a CRI Membership may purchase a Non-Fee Paying Student Membership.

Statesboro Pricing

Non-Fee Paying Student

Students who do not meet the criteria to be charged the recreation fee may purchase a membership to gain access to recreation facilities. Current facility memberships are:

  • $120 Fall Semester
  • $120 Spring Semester
  • $96 Summer Semester
Plus One Membership – Student Spouse/Partner

Student spouses/partners are eligible for a recreation membership. To purchase a membership, the current student spouse/partner must be present and verify through university form, joint checking account and/or joint home or auto ownership and a current student ID.

Armstrong Pricing

Non-Fee Paying Student

Students who do not meet the criteria to be charged the recreation fee may purchase a membership to gain access to recreation facilities. Current facility memberships are:

Plus One Membership – Student Spouse/Partner

Student spouses/partners are eligible for a membership to utilize recreation facilities on the Armstrong campus. To purchase a membership, the current student spouse/partner must be present and verify through university form, joint checking account and/or joint home or auto ownership and a current student ID. Spouse/Partner memberships must be paid for in advance at the Student Recreation Center.

  • $90 Fall Semester
  • $90 Spring Semester
  • $80 Summer Semester

Georgia Southern faculty and staff with a valid University or Eagle ID are granted a CRI membership as part of their employment as verified by the Office of Human Resources. Upon first use, employees will need to complete the CRI waiver (online or at Member Services) and present their current Eagle ID.

Retirees can also purchase CRI memberships and must be verified by the Office of Human Resources.

Additional notes:

  • A current East Georgia College at Statesboro ID must be provided, and employment status will
    be verified with the EGA Office of Human Resources. Payroll deduction is not an option for EGA
    faculty members.
  • If university employment ceases, all affiliated memberships with that employee will be
    terminated with no refund.

Plus One Memberships

Georgia Southern students, faculty, staff and retirees are able to purchase Plus One memberships for individuals that live in the same household and are related through a biological or marital/domestic partnership relationship. Proof of status is required for a Plus One membership.

Dependents

Faculty and staff are eligible to purchase individual memberships for their dependents ages 3 to 26. Dependents under the age of 16 are only able to enter the RAC during specific hours with adult supervision and are not able to participate in select activities and programs.

Statesboro Pricing

Plus One Membership – Faculty/Staff Spouses/Partners or Dependents aged 16-25-year-old

Spouses/Partners or Dependents aged 16-25 years old of faculty and staff are eligible to purchase a membership that allows them access to recreation facilities on the Statesboro campus. When purchasing a spouse/partner/dependent pass, the Georgia Southern student, faculty or staff member, must be present at the time of purchase with his/her Eagle ID. An ID with the same address as a member, joint checking, and DOB required for verification. The cost of membership is $336 a year.

Dependents Under age 16

Faculty/staff are eligible to purchase memberships for their dependents who are under 16 years old. Dependents can utilize the RAC from 4:00pm on Friday until 6:00pm on Sunday. They have access from the first day of classes until the last day of exams during the fall and spring semesters. While Georgia Southern students are on break or during the summer semester, children may use the facility during normal hours of operation. All children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult while using the facility. The cost for a membership is $50 per semester.

Statesboro Guests

Members may invite guests to use the RAC, and may host up to two guests during a single day. The guest pass covers one guest and expires at the close of the day it was paid. The RAC Member must accompany his or her guest at all times.

  • Guests must show a photo ID upon entering the RAC
  • Guests are subject to the same rules that govern RAC Members’ use of the RAC
  • Guests under 16 years of age are only allowed in the RAC on weekends during the fall and spring semesters (after 4pm on Fridays and until 6:00pm on Sundays) but can visit during all open hours in the summer semester. They must be accompanied by an adult RAC member at all times.

All guests must have a picture ID and sign a CRI Waiver. The cost of the guest pass will be covered by the guest at a rate of $7.00 per day. Payment will be made at the front desk upon entry and only accepted after a valid form of ID is shown.

Armstrong Guests

Members may invite guests to use the ARC, and may host up to two guests during a single day. The guest pass covers one guest and expires at the close of the day it was paid. The SRC Member must accompany his or her guest at all times.

  • Guests must show a photo ID upon entering the ARC
  • Guests are subject to the same rules that govern ARC Members’ use of the ARC

Members may host up to two guests per day. All guests must have a picture ID and sign a CRI Waiver. The cost of the guest pass will be covered by the guest at a rate of $7.00 per day. Payment will be made at the front desk upon entry and only accepted after a valid form of ID is shown.

Groups and individuals working to meet the goals and mission of Georgia Southern University that are not employees of the university can contact Member Services to request an exemption to receive a CRI Membership.

Members may pay the Membership Fee:

  • with credit or debit card, at the RAC or the ARC
  • by payroll deduction (full-time faculty and staff only)
  • in advance, for a term of one semester or one year. Payments are accepted at the Bursar’s Office. The RAC/ARC cannot accept cash or checks.

Membership Fees cannot be prorated for partial semesters, and are non-refundable.

There will not be a refund of fees in the unfortunate event of the loss of recreational privileges.

  • University guests that would like to use the RAC, but have not been given a complimentary guest pass must have the sponsoring department contact the Director of Facilities & Fitness for guest pass use.
  • Students, faculty, and staff members may bring 2 guests per day.
  • Guest passes may be purchased at the Front Desk.
  • Guests must sign a liability waiver form.
  • CRI reserves the right to approve or deny any guest pass transaction.
  • Members must check-in at the same time as the guest and remain in the facility the entire time the guest is there.
    • Exceptions will be made for visiting faculty/staff hosted by a University department.
    • Members are responsible for the actions of their guests. If a guest does not adhere to the policies of CRI facilities, the member and guest may be asked to leave.
    • The sponsor’s current membership must be verified before allowed to purchase a guest pass.
    • The guest’s sponsor will be responsible for checking out any equipment and be held responsible for damages to equipment and/or facility caused by his/her guest(s).
  • Guests under 16 years of age are only allowed in the RAC on weekends during the fall & spring semester (after 4:00pm on Fridays through 6:00pm on Sundays) and all day during the summer. They must be accompanied by an adult with a regular membership.
  • All guests (ages 16 & up) must have a photo driver’s license or government-issued photo identification with address and proof of age unless the guest is dependent or child.
    • Guests under 16 years of age are only allowed in the RAC on weekends during Fall & Spring semesters (after 4:00 on Fridays – 6:00 on Sundays) and all day in the summer.
  • Guest passes are valid for the date of purchase only, re-entry is permitted on that day but only when accompanied by RAC sponsor (receipt must be shown upon re-entry).
  • Guest passes are for facility access and any regularly scheduled, no-cost programming taking place in the RAC.
  • A guest cannot host another guest.
  • A guest is not eligible to participate in Intramural activities.
  • Sponsors must check out and are responsible for any equipment used by guests.
