Georgia Southern University officers are now equipped with body cameras

Georgia Southern’s Office of Public Safety is the first public safety force in Bulloch County to incorporate body cameras and in-car recording systems into the daily work of its officers. The University has equipped each of the Police Department’s 34 patrol officers with body cameras and four marked patrol cars with video equipment.

The exhibit, open to the public, is on display Saturday, Sept. 5, through Thursday, Oct. 1.

Georgia Southern offering fast-track courses for fiber optics certification

This fall, Georgia Southern University’s Division of Continuing Education is offering career-building certified fiber optic technician and specialist fast-track courses at the Coastal Georgia Center, in Savannah, Georgia. Participants are provided the option to take two or three fiber optics courses during the weeklong training.

Researchers Track Currents with Drifters and Dye
