Soar Into Recovery
True Blue Recovery at the Center for Addiction Recovery (CAR) provides a nurturing and affirming environment where students in recovery from alcohol and/or drug addiction can thrive academically and personally, soaring beyond addiction into a life of purpose, independence and lasting recovery. Data collected by CAR consistently demonstrates that our students achieve higher-than-average GPAs, sustain their recovery, and embark on fulfilling careers after graduation. We’re proud to see our graduates become medical doctors, nurses, professors, business leaders, and more.
If you consider yourself in recovery, are interested in seeking recovery or recovery allyship, we offer a structured, student-focused community where you can begin or continue your recovery journey. Our services include all-recovery meetings, weekly seminars, dedicated space, social activities and community and peer educators that foster connection and encouragement in a supportive setting.
Empowering Your Journey to Success
We understand the unique challenges faced by students in recovery, and we’re committed to providing the support needed to overcome them. Our program is built on the belief that recovery and academic success can go hand-in-hand. Your journey begins with:
- A Supportive Community: A strong sense of community is fostered through weekly seminars, social events and peer support.
- Academic and Personal Growth: Our programs focus on developing life skills, building social networks and navigating the intersection of recovery and higher education.
- Dedicated Resources: CAR provides a dedicated campus space and computer lab.
- Flexible Scheduling and Financial Aid: We offer early registration to help students manage their schedules and scholarships to support those who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to recovery.
- Real-World Success: Through recovery assisted guidance and academic advocacy, our average student has a GPA higher than the average institutional GPA.
