Take the First Step
Education & Professional Development
We have a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancements in the understanding of substance use and addiction while preparing the next generation of researchers and practitioners in the field. Through undergraduate and graduate courses offered in the Jiann‑Ping Hsu College of Public Health as well as serving on dissertation committees, we bring together faculty, researchers, clinicians, and community members who provide hands-on learning, mentorship, and research opportunities.
Support CAR
We believe every student deserves the opportunity to thrive—in their education, their well-being and their recovery. Through scholarships, donations and fundraising efforts, we’re able to provide the resources and support students need to succeed academically while maintaining a strong foundation for long-term recovery.
When you give to CAR, you’re investing in lives, futures and the belief that recovery is possible and worth celebrating. Your support helps us:
- Provide scholarships to students in recovery who face financial challenges
- Expand access to counseling, recovery coaching, and mental health services
- Offer sober social events, peer-led groups, and community-building opportunities
- Promote prevention and education across campus through outreach initiatives
- Create a welcoming, stigma-free environment for all students
