
Georgia Southern’s College of Education faculty member Charles Hodges, Ph.D., was invited to the White House on Dec. 14 to participate in the Advancing Educational Technology in Teacher Preparation Innovators’ Summit hosted by the Office of Educational Technology (OET) at the U.S. Department of Education.
James H. Oliver Jr., Ph.D (`52), was recently featured in the Winter 2016 edition of American Entomologist in a piece titled, “Ticks, Lyme Disease, and a Golden Gloves Champion.”

Anastatia Sims, Ph.D., professor of history in Georgia Southern University’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), will open the 2017 Great Minds Lecture series on Jan. 31 in the Russell Union, Room 2047.

Melissa Stack (`15), graduate student in the School of Health and Kinesiology, has been awarded a grant in the amount of $844.06 from the Graduate Student Professional Development Fund (GSPDF) at Georgia Southern University for her research, “The effect of chronic L-carnitine and carbohydrate supplementation on body composition, perceived exertion and athletic performance in female endurance athletes.”
