A team of four economics majors at Georgia Southern University’s Parker College of Business recently took fourth place at TD Ameritrade’s thinkorswim Challenge, a real-world cash trading experience, after going head-to-head with 500 college teams from around the country.

Registration open for Georgia Southern’s study abroad program in Cuba
Georgia Southern University will offer its second study abroad program in Havana, Cuba, from July 2 to 17. Students will learn about the history, culture and contemporary issues affecting the communist island nation post-Fidel Castro. The program is open to all Georgia Southern students, as well as University System of Georgia transient students, and offers a roster of semester credits. The deadline to apply for the program is Feb. 15.
Kyle Marrero Named President of Georgia Southern University
ATLANTA (University System of Georgia) – The Board of Regents today named Dr. Kyle Marrero president of Georgia Southern University. Marrero will begin his new position effective April 1.
Piano in the Arts continues fifth season with ‘Baroque, Romantic, Contemporary’
Pianist Daniel Schene has long been known as a consummate artist and a superlative teacher.
