Welcome to the RAC!
The Recreation Activity Center is a state-of-the-art recreation center and a central hub for student life on Georgia Southern University’s Statesboro Campus. At 215,000 square feet and thousands of daily visits, it’s one of the largest campus recreation centers in the nation.
The RAC first opened on April 18, 1998 as an 80,000 square foot facility and re-opened with an expansion to its current size on November 6, 2006. It’s also the first building on Georgia Southern’s Statesboro campus to achieve LEED certification, the world’s most widely recognized green building rating system.
