Recreation Activity Center in Statesboro

Georgia Southern statesboro campus CRI RAC athletics and recreation.

Welcome to The RAC!

The Bruce and Kathryn Grube Recreation Activity Center is a state-of-the-art recreation center and a central hub for student life on Georgia Southern University’s Statesboro Campus. At 215,000 square feet and thousands of daily visits, it’s one of the largest campus recreation centers in the nation.

The RAC first opened on April 18, 1998 as an 80,000 square foot facility and re-opened with an expansion to its current size on November 6, 2006. It’s also the first building on Georgia Southern’s Statesboro campus to achieve LEED certification, the world’s most widely recognized green building rating system.

Daily Activities

The RAC is bigger than just a gym. Find your routine or try something new every day with high quality equipment and facilities.

Parking at the RAC

Any parking lots at the Recreation Activity Center and M.C. Anderson Park are ticketed. A valid Georgia Southern University parking decal is required to park during the hours of 8 a.m. to 3.pm. Monday through Friday. Free bike and skateboard parking is available at the front of the RAC.

Parking at The RAC can be scarce on days of special events like football games or in the evening when intramural games are played. We encourage our patrons to find alternative means of transportation to and from The RAC such as carpooling, riding a bike, scooter or skateboard, or using Southern Express, Georgia Southern’s free campus transit.

Georgia Southern students park outside of the CRI RAC to participate in health, fitness, athletics, recreation, intramural.
