Graduate student Zachary Wu had never studied in the United States before coming to Georgia Southern two years ago. At commencement on May 10, Wu will become one of the first-ever graduates at Georgia Southern to receive a master of science in applied geography as part of the program’s inaugural graduating class.

Georgia Southern student awarded Fulbright English Teaching Assistant grant
Georgia Southern University Spanish and French major Emily Pressler has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) grant for the 2019-2020 academic year. Pressler’s placement will be in Galicia, Spain, and she will assist primarily in English classes for students who speak Spanish, Galician and English.

Georgia Southern University Associate Vice President of Auxiliary Services Eddie Mills (‘92) was recently honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2019 National Association of College Auxiliary Services South Regional Conference, held in Sandestin, Florida, in April.
