

Being an evolutionary biologist is no longer just for professionals. Georgia Southern Department of Biology Professor Emily Kane, Ph.D., has developed a simple kit that allows grade school students to become scientists in their own classrooms.

Professor and Interlibrary Loan Librarian Fred Smith, was voted president of the Georgia Library Association (GLA) by members for 2018.

Last Friday, Georgia Southern alumnus Maj. Gen. Leslie Smith (‘85) was promoted to a three-star lieutenant general in the U.S. Army. This promotion makes Smith the highest-ranking University alumnus in the military.
