New walking trail to connect Georgia Southern’s Statesboro Campus, Blue Mile

10th annual Francophone Film Festival to take place on Armstrong Campus Feb. 22-23

The community is encouraged to attend the 10th annual Francophone Film Festival Feb. 22-23 on the Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus in Savannah. The Armstrong French Club started this event in the spring of 2008 thanks to a grant provided by the French Embassy and the Tournées Festival, which aims to bring French cinema to American institutions.

Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology faculty collaborates in concussion research

Georgia Southern Waters College of Health Professions Assistant Professor Tamerah Hunt, Ph.D., and researchers from the Seattle Pediatric Concussion Research Collaborative and Seattle Children’s Center for Childhood Health, Behavior and Development, have been awarded a $1.6 million grant to develop the program, One Team, to address safety and concussion awareness in youth sports.

Childcare conference unites providers, teachers and experts

Robert I. Strozier Lecture Series showcases Armstrong Campus faculty research

This semester, Georgia Southern’s College of Arts and Humanities will continue the Robert I. Strozier Lecture Series on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah in honor of the former Professor Emeritus of English who was a beloved figure for more than four decades. The annual event features Armstrong Campus faculty members who present their research on a variety of topics.

Student awarded 2018 Jordan Smith Undergraduate Fellowship

Senior psychology student Staci Robinson was recently awarded the 2018 Jordan Smith Undergraduate Fellowship and will represent Georgia Southern University at the 37th Annual Conference on the First-Year Experience in February.
